Foley Project Checklist
• Background sounds are present at all points in the movie.
• Levels are mixed appropriately and are not overpowering.
• A variety of sound effects are used that complement the actions in the film.
• All Foley is present for every visual action.
• Foley has been mixed, chosen, placed, and filtered accurately at all times.
• Sound has been mixed, placed, and EQd accurately at all times.
If you would expect to hear a sound, there should be a sound. The sound chosen does not need
to match human expectation. In fact you will have the most fun using sounds that are totally
unexpected but timed perfectly.
Think of a theme for your sound palette (or not).
